What training does FWWI offer?
FWWI holds approximately 15 multi-day trainings per calendar year on the Anchorage campus and through annual rural community trainings, as well as weekly support groups and gatherings.
Beauty for Ashes:
A five-day, four-night intensive training designed to educate and train Natural Helpers to use culturally appropriate means to work with individuals and communities impacted by violence. This training is held locally and is designed to host approximately 80 people.
Arrigah House:
A five-day, four-night intensive training designed to host up to 50 people in rural communities as part of the FWWI 3-Year Model for Alaska Native areas. Upon request, Arrigah House can be customized for other specific groups and communities.
Advanced Leader Education and Training (ALET):
A six-day intensive training designed to train individuals how to teach the FWWI curriculum, co-facilitate small group sessions and implement the FWWI philosophy in their communities. This training includes workshops for those who have participated in a minimum of one Beauty for Ashes or Arrigah House conference, or Wellness Warriors small group.
