Arrigah House
Arrigah House, part of the Family Wellness Warrior's Initiative, is a 13-bed training center in East Anchorage, developed to further promote wellness in our Native Community. Arrigah House provides a three-and-a-half-day, three-night training conference. Participants receive education on how to respond to others who are facing their wounds of domestic violence, abuse and neglect.
This center was designed to provide a safe place where people can experience the beauty of redemption and restoration. By way of stories, participants are shown what a healing journey looks like. Large group training followed by small group meetings, allow participants to experience how to come alongside others.
Sessions include topics such as:
- How Do I Respond To Others?
- Does My Anger Serve a Purpose?
- How Can I Live With Disappointments?
- Is My Shame A Lie?
- What Does Recovery Look Like?

Amenities include:
- Lodging provided with wireless internet access.
- Group rooms, conference room
- Kitchen and dining area
- Meals and recreational activities provided
- Transportation from and to the airport available
Training, education and individualized care are focused toward the 12 villages in the Lake Iliamna and Copper River Native Association areas. All areas of Alaska are welcome. Who Is Eligible?
Alaska Native / American Indian people are the primary audience, but all others are welcome to inquire about availability.
Training, education and individualized care are designed to accommodate a variety of groups, families and communities. Training sessions are available multiple times a year.
